You Must Be Mad, Said the Cat. . .

Preorders for We Are All Mad Here opened this week! The book hits stores in mid-September, but preorder copies ship early, so jumping in now is a great way to get yours as quickly as possible! This hefty, 224-page sourcebook for the Cypher System is all about fairy tales—adventures that differ from standard fantasy in how they tap into myth and archetype, exploring the fundamental nature of the mind and of human experience. They’re filled with magic that’s big, bold, unexpected, and wondrous—and characters who, despite humble roots or broken foundations, achieve feats just as grand.

We could say lots more about We Are All Mad Here, but as we all know, a picture is worth a thousand words. Here’s a look at some of the book’s spectacular art! (Click any image for a larger view.)

Gen Con Online Is Just Days Away!

Gen Con Online is almost upon us. We’re missing (well, sort of) the heady chaos of the usual prep period and the in-person show itself, but we’re pretty excited about this new format. There are a number of advantages to this online version, among them being its accessibility to gamers around the world, including the hundreds of thousands of gamers who can’t make it to a normal Gen Con.

If you haven’t planned to attend, it’s not too late! Check out our plans on our Gen Con page. In particular, we’d love to have you join us for An Evening with MCG. It’s a great chance to mingle with the entire Monte Cook Games staff, and it’s free!

Ptolus is Monte’s legendary fantasy campaign setting—one of the most famous (and justifiable so) third-party products for D&D ever released. It’s coming in April 2021 to Fifth Edition and Cypher System. If you missed the Kickstarter, for a limited time you can still get in on the exclusive deals (including useful PDFs worth hundreds of dollars and totaling a thousand pages, delivered early and included with most pledge levels). Ptolus: Monte Cook’s City by the Spire is a 600-page tome, with dozens of physical handouts and hundreds of pages of digital extras—all delivered in a product that’s as amazingly easy to use as it is lavish and beautiful. If you love fantasy, you really don’t want miss Ptolus!
