Cypher is so flexible—there’s so much you can do with it. The Cypher Character Rulebook gets you started, but it really just scratches the surface. Make your game really soar with more in-depth ways of looking at descriptors or species; meatier, more detailed foci; more color with a longer character sentence; and dozens of other fun ways to customize a Cypher campaign!
And while we’re at it: how about more creatures? The Cypher Bestiary is on the way, but who can’t use scores of additional creatures—new ones, plus favorites from the over 1500 published for Cypher System over the years—given the lore-heavy, options-laden treatment that makes Cypher Bestiary such an inspiration?
Two new books for Cypher—and more!
In conjunction with the release of the Cypher Character Rulebook, the Cypher—Advanced! campaign funds two new books for Cypher:
Cypher Decoded offers scores of new options to add additional dimension to your game, or let you drill down on the role of various rules elements. Find enhanced foci and descriptors, specialties that expand your character sentence, a new Luck Pool, new approaches to species, and loads and loads of additional options. Plus explore even more genres with new types, along with enhanced rules for building customized types for whatever amazing setting you have in mind!
Cypher Bestiary 2, like the forthcoming Cypher Bestiary (out this fall), brings another 100+ creatures to life in a presentation packed with inspiration and awe. Find entries chock-full of lore, fascinating info, and options. Variant names, alternate special abilities and traits, interesting looks, distinct motivations, companions or pets, lair designs, unique mechanics, and more provide an infinite range of options and ensure that every encounter is fresh and memorable.
In addition, the campaign funds Pocket Cypher, a lightweight, smaller-format book with just the core game rules, especially handy if for a campaign that doesn’t call upon the character elements in the CCR—like a game run using the genres in Cypher Decoded, or a forthcoming campaign setting like Numenera or The Strange with its own types and foci.
