Datasphere Deck Tool
The Datasphere Deck Tool makes our digital decks as handy and easy to use in online play as the print decks are at the physical game table. Draw random cards, “hand” them to your players in the form of card images, or copy the card text with the click of a button. Peruse a deck easily, sort cards, or organize them as you see fit.
You can use the Datasphere Deck Tool for free—all of our decks* are available, fully functional decks but with a limited range of cards. Purchasing the digital deck here on the MCG Shop unlocks the full deck for you. (And if you already own a deck in PDF, purchased or redeemed as a crowdfunding reward on the MCG Shop, good news: you already have the deck on the Datasphere Deck Tool!)

Creating Cypher characters is fast, fun, and concept-first—and the Cypher Character Builder makes it even easier! At the free Explorer tier, the Cypher Character Builder gives you a full range of features and includes all the character options—types, foci, descriptors, and more—from the Cypher Character Rulebook.
Add character-building content from other titles with the purchase of Character Builder Packs. Purchase the Old Gods of Appalachia Corebook Character Builder Pack, for example, and build OGoA characters with the Cypher Character Builder!
Even better: a GM who subscribes to the Character Builder at the Adept tier can share their Character Builder Packs with players in their group. So an Adept-tier GM who purchases the Old Gods of Appalachia Corebook Character Builder Pack can set up a campaign and invite players—and they’ll all be able to build OGoA characters!

Character Builder Adept Tier
At the free Explorer tier of the Cypher Character Builder you can create Cypher characters; save, modify, and advance them; and export them to print-ready PDFs or into a VTT. As a GM you can build campaigns and invite players, linking characters and allowing just the options you wish to include in your game. Cypher’s amazing flexibility even lets you create your own types, descriptors, foci, and other character options right in the Character Builder.
The Adept tier offers an even greater range of useful features. Here’s an overview of some favorite features you’ll get at the Adept tier; the adjacent list digs even deeper!
- Share Your Books: Planning to launch an Old Gods of Appalachia campaign? No need for your players to all purchase the OGoA content for the Character Builder. If you own the Old Gods of Appalachia Corebook Character Builder Pack, simply set up your campaign and invite your players, and they’ll all be able to build OGoA characters. As more titles are added to the Character Builder, you can choose which to share with each campaign you run.
- Share Your Custom Content: Have you built custom types or foci (or anything else) for one campaign, and want to use them elsewhere? Assemble your creations into a “sourcebook” that you can access from any of your campaigns. You can even export the data and share with other users. (Plus a bulk import feature lets you do your design work in your preferred work environment, then upload what you’ve created to the Character Builder.)
- Make It Your Own! Create your own custom character sheet for the players in your campaign—or simply change the background on the standard character sheet. Customize colors and upload artwork. You can even reskin the dice on the 3D die roller! Give your campaign just the right look and feel, and all of your players will experience it that way, too!
