A Gift For You—Or the World! (2016 edition)

It’s the season of giving, so let’s make it a great holiday season for some great causes!

Continuing a new tradition we started last year, here is the 2016 MCG Holiday Gift! We’re giving you a $5 coupon for the MCG store. Use it to get a little something for yourself or a loved one—or you can turn it into a donation to one of three charities we’re supporting this holiday season!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Go to the store and shop for your items, just like you normally do.
  2. If you’d like to make a charitable donation, add the 2016 Holiday Gift to your shopping cart. It’s a $5 donation, so when you use the coupon code you pay nothing and we make the donation!
  3. At checkout, enter the following coupon code: 2016MCGHolidayGift

Get $5 off that Gods of the Fall setting you’ve been eyeing. Or $5 off a copy of No Thank You, Evil! for a young gamer-to-be you know. Or give a gift certificate to a friend (and get a smaller one for yourself, as a gift from us). Get a recent PDF, like Tales Beyond the Ninth World, absolutely free! Or choose a $5 donation to the ACLU, American Refugee Committee, or Doctors Without Borders, and make the holidays a bit brighter for someone else. You can use the 2016MCGHolidayGift gift code for anything you like!

But don’t delay: The code expires on December 26. And one code per user, please!

Here’s a little info on our three charities:

American Civil Liberties Union

The American Civil Liberties Union has worked for nearly 100 years to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the United States. They are tirelessly advocates, working in courts, legislatures, and communities to defend and preserve the Constitution’s promise of liberty for everyone in our country—people of all races, religions, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and economic statuses.

American Refugee Committee

The American Refugee Committee has provided humanitarian assistance and training to millions of beneficiaries over 35 years. ARC works with refugee communities in 11 countries around the world, serving people who have lost everything to events completely beyond their control. ARC provides shelter, clean water and sanitation, health care, skills training, microcredit education, protection and whatever support we can to let people begin again. ARC helps people survive conflict and crisis and rebuild lives of dignity, health, security and self-sufficiency.

Doctors Without Borders

Doctors Without Borders (also called Médecins Sans Frontières) helps people worldwide where the need is greatest, delivering emergency medical aid to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from health care. On any given day, more than 30,000 doctors, nurses, logisticians, water-and-sanitation experts, administrators, and other qualified professionals working with MSF can be found providing medical care around the world.

Sean Reynolds
Sean Reynolds

Sean K Reynolds grew up in southern California. He’s been a webmaster, game designer, developer, freelancer-wrangler, and many other jobs that can’t be described in one or two words. He’s worked on a couple hundred books for a half a dozen RPGs, designed videogames, taught classes on game design, written plays and musicals, judged international talent-search contests, won game design awards, and had bit parts in geeky movies. He lives in Seattle, Washington with his four cats. Sean is the Community Relations Coordinator at Monte Cook Games.
